The Sheriff's Blotter data is taken from the official calls for service records kept by the Orange County Sheriff's Department. A regular review of the calls in your area and the year-to-date crime statistics, at the bottom of each page in the OCSD Patrol Areas section, will provide you a more complete view of law enforcement activity in your community. The Sheriff's Blotter enables residents to know what activity is occurring in their communities. No assumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the content of the information provided. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. The calls represent what was told to the deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. In the near future, we will provide a map with each call plotted to give the viewers a better understanding of where the activities are occurring in a particular area. Viewers will still be able to view the types of calls the Sheriff’s Department responds to, as well as the date, time and approximate location of each call.
